Blue Weed Blogger Theme

The Blue Weed theme was created by Blog oh blog and ported to blogger by Gosu Blogger, a relatively fast conversion since the template has recently been released for wordpress.

A simple white and blue three column template, that has a semi rounded design and flows quite well. The blog header consists of a logo which you can replace with your own logo in the form of an image.

On the right of the logo is the search bar that could use some tweaking to make it blend better. Under the header section is the navigational menu strip. The post area is rather simple and nothing extraordinary. The sidebar hosts a tabbed widget that can be customized.

The sidebar then divides into two but the background is a constant colour which is quite nice. The bottom of the template has grass growing which gives the end of the blog a pleasing finishing touch. If you like to try some blue weed, go ahead and download it!

Blue Blog Blogger Skin

Who says wordpress is the only blog hosting service that hosts a wide range of templates, the number of blogger skin developers are increasing tremendously in the recent years. One of the latest template porters who I have come across Zona Cerebral has ported a fantastic template desgined by Kailoon for wordpress.

Blogspot no longer lacks fully loaded templates, the Blue Blog is just another skin that offers features that any professional blogger would like. Take a look at the screenshot above, the header holds the blog description on the left, above that on a thin strip is the blog title, on the right of the description is an image, that you can change from the edit html.

Just besides the image in the header is a RSS button that is quite prominent in the header. Then below the description are the links that allow you to navigate through your blog. Just under the post headline is the Authors name, on the right is the comments icon, a date stamp is present just besides the headline on the left. The labels are placed at the end of the post though.

The sidebar holds a tabbed widget at its start, just below that is the search bar. The sidebar then breaks up into two columns, that allows you to add multiple widgets. The left hand side column seems like it has a style added to it as compared to the right bar.

Facebooked Blogger Template

Justin Tadlock’s Facebooked template for wordpress was converted to blogger recently by Gosu Blogger. If you are a Facebook fan and want your blog to look just like your facebook profile this theme is for you.
So this three column blogger template with the sidebars on the left hand side of the main column just like your profile on facebook. Apart from completly mimicing your facebook profile there is no so called unique feature.

The header holds your blog name on the left hand side, there are no navigational menu buttons which I personally like to have for my blog. The left hand side sidebars makes it easier for visitors to use, although I would have prefered the first sidebar to be larger.

The second sidebar is wider than 160px, so perhaps you should fit a 200px square as the 160px ad you can see in the screenshot leaves a lot of room around it. The 160×600 advertisment may fit better in the first sidebar and will be noticed more in the first sidebar. I suggest using text link units mixed with your content links.

The icons, page element headers and layout has a prominent element of facebook. So if your really love facebook you can go ahead and get this blogger template free of cost once again!

iTheme Blogger Skin

The iTheme template was originally designed by N.Design Studio for wordpress and then converted by Blog and Web to blogger for us.

The iTheme template is a very sleek looking template that provides a transparent feel to its sidebar. This is a two column template with a detached search bar on the top left, on the main column are the navigational links on a neat section just below the header text.

On a mouse hover the navigational menu gets a blue colour similar to that of the page background. The sidebar has sections that are divided once again where the back ground can be seen in between the different sections.

Just like the iphone this template looks good and is not feature rich, its an elegant template with a nice user interface and thats where it ends. You may be more interested in the iTheme Techno template that is a modified version of this theme that includes drag and relocate sidebar elements.

Blogging Pro Blogger Theme

Another lovely Wordpress template designed by Design Disease the same guys who designed the Dilecto template which this blog uses, the Blogging Pro theme was then converted to blogger by eblogtemplates.
Now this template is quite a beautiful one especially with the little bit of customizations done. The main navigational menu is on the top left above the header while the right has a search bar with a nice little blurb that extends over the header section. Under the header is a place to have a leader board advertisement which is perfect placement for a neat advert in the blog template, although I am not sure about how well it will get clicks, on the left hand side are three neat buttons for your RSS feed and you can customize this to something else as well.

Your sidebar is broken up into two parts just under the cross column that contains your advertisement and rss, the sidebar also has a section where it becomes a single column, this template is very beautiful is it not and the footer is gorgeous as well.

To customize your advertisment code you will need to search for

in edit html and then you will find the advertisment code there for the leaderboard ad. The timestamp fromat has to be “Tuesday, January 25,2008″ and the feedlinks can be replace by searching for YOUR-FEED-NAME-HERE.

Leila Blogger Template

The Leila template was brought to blogger by fresh blogger templates and was originally created by Kapikua, he uses this template for his blog and it can be seen in the screen shot below.
This template has a well designed structure, apart from being a three column template. One of the most evident features of this template is the the comment, label and social bookmarking area which comes in a nice black rounded section.

The navigational menu is situated on top of the header image on the left hand side, while a search bar is donned on the top right hand side of the sidebar. The colour scheme of this template is quite beautiful and in the wordpress version the sidebar has two columns as well as a single column section, I am not too sure if the blogger version has the same.

The Ocean Dancer

The Ocean Dancer is an original blogger template, unlike most of the templates that are ripped off from wordpress. So we have to thank the creator Tukang for providing us a template built for Blogspot.
Firstly its rare that a blogger builds a template from scratch for blogspot users. When a template is built for blogspot theres one thing different from a wordpress template. It keeps in mind the needs of a blogspot user perhaps.

If you see the main size column of this template is 474px, this means you can easily fit a 468px advertisement in this template. The top of the sidebar has one big box that can fit three 125 * 125 advertisements side by side.

So this is a good template for someone who is looking to monetize their content, lets take a look at some of the basic features. The navigational menu links are on top of the header, I actually prefer them below the header, but they have a nice alternating color scheme.

The header image has a nice rounded shape with a search bar located under it on the right hand side. The template uses blue and white, while the sidebar and a few places get a bit of black. The font color on the main page is grey, so is the date and time stamp, which is quite tiny.

So if you like the ocean dancer you can go ahead and download it, happy dancing!

The Four Column 02 Template

Am glad to have another good four column template on the blog, searching for them is rather difficult but Gosu Blogger just gave us a new one.
The O2 2.0 is originally a three column blogger template but now we have an additional column added to it on the left hand side.

The rest of this template remains the same except the fact that the post date has been removed by Gosu because of an error in the template but that doesn’t stop it from being a gorgeous template.

There is just one little issue with the template, in Opera the extreme right hand sidebar header sticks out of the body, it does not look like an error actually it kind of looks quite neat, like an additional feature.

The dominant colours of this template are white and blue, and has a lot of sections even when it was in the three column version. Now you have another full section to add more functions to your blog.

Simple Kubrick 4 Column Template

Four column templates are not really easy to find for blogger, so when you come across a four column made by someone who’s from your hometown Goa. Created a four column template for download it makes it a rather strange coincidence.This template is based of the Kubrick blogger template and is rather simple, its creator Derek Cordeiro has mentioned that it might not be perfect but and may have a couple of bugs, but if you take a look at the demo, it works flawlessly.

A four column template is recommended for a blog that has a lot of content to showcase, if you are not sure if you would require so many columns I suggest you look for a well made three column template instead.

Although with a bit of customization, especially the header image this template will manage your blog space quite well. The date script has been picked up from Jack Book so the same time stamp format changes need to be done.

Overall its a nice clear cut template that needs a header image that would suit it.

The Insense Blogger Template

Another template by Design Disease that brought us the very beautiful Dilectio Blogger Template that this template uses. The Insense template was ported to blogger by blog and web once again and hence it gets the name Blogy Insense.Are you saying wow after you look at this template? there are many reasons why you should this two column template packs a whole load of features that some three column blogger templates do not have.

Lets take a look above the header on the left you have a nice neat link that can be useful for advertisements, quick links to browse your site etc. To modify the links over there you can go to your page elements and use these links.

You can customize it like the last link shown above. Now take a look at the header notice the diagonal curves and how the main menu buttons flow from the curve on the left hand side its quite beautiful. These buttons can be used to navigate your website and can be changed by the same method, find the below code and replace it with your own. If you noticed the buttons are shaped the same way as the header giving the template a nice flow.

On the same bar you will find the RSS Feed links, that need to be changed to your site the best way that can be done is by replacing the below links with your own.

Once that is done your template will be ready for you to use, it has a nice little search box on top of the sidebar, although not many people tend to use the search box. If you do not like the brown color of the template that can be changed as well, but its a pretty nice template for blogger none the less.
